ALDUS GALLERY EFFECTS: CLASSIC ART, VOLUME 2 Sampler ALDUS GALLERY EFFECTS: CLASSIC ART TRANSFORMS IMAGES INTO ART Welcome to the Gallery Effects: Classic Art, Volume 2 sampler! This sampler gives you the opportunity to experiment with the Note Paper effect, one of the 16 artistic effects in Gallery Effects: Classic Art, Volume 2. ABOUT THE NOTE PAPER EFFECT The Note Paper effect renders an image similar in appearance to embossed note paper. The dark areas of the image become holes in a top layer of paper, through which a background paper layer can be seen. The surface is rough and appears lit from above. Image Balance Move the slider to the right to have more of the image appear as background and to the left to have more of the image appear as foreground. Graininess Move the slider to the right to add more grain to the paper and to the left to add less grain. Relief Move the slider to the right to increase the amount of embossing and to the left to decrease the amount of embossing. The Note Paper effect uses the host program’s current foreground and background colors (if available) for the paper background and foreground colors, respectively. USING THE NOTE PAPER EFFECT The settings dialog box lets you change and preview the Note Paper effect’s settings. The upper left of the dialog box shows a miniature view of the original image or selection. Drag the floating frame over the part of the image you want to preview. The area within the frame appears in the box labeled Before. Click the Preview button to preview the effect. After a short delay, a preview of the effect applied to the framed image appears in the box labeled After. Adjust the controls at the bottom left of the dialog box to experiment with different settings. Each time you adjust the controls, click Preview to see the effect of the new settings. These settings can be saved for later use. After adjusting the settings, click the Apply button to apply the effect to the image. WHAT IS GALLERY EFFECTS: CLASSIC ART, VOLUME 2?
